The power of community in a drop of blood: a blood drive was held at the university.

On November 18, another blood drive was held at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, which proved once again that our university community can be strong, united, and compassionate. During one day, 17 liters of blood were collected – an amount that can save over a hundred lives. One donation can help two or three of our defenders, for whom blood is sometimes critically needed. The organizers sincerely thank everyone who found the time to participate and showed awareness.

Special thanks go to the staff of the Institute of Biology and Medicine and the Faculty of Philosophy for their strong support and active participation. This campaign is not just a blood drive, it is a reminder that the strength of our community comes from caring. It is gestures like these that shape a culture of mutual support, in which everyone can become part of a great cause.

A Kharkiv artist and donor Hamlet Zinkivskyi once wrote “Your blood can fight” on the gate of a house that had been shelled. These words have become a symbol of the national movement for voluntary blood donation. And today, you have joined this movement.
