The Center for Social Development is a structural unit of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv that works for maximum self-realization and revealing the potential of each member of the university community, the production of an active life position, the ability for public initiatives and volunteering, as well as aiming to establish close cooperation with the university’s graduates and employers.

The Blood Donor Day

A regular joint blood donation campaign takes place within the walls of our #University1834. Becoming a blood donor is a simple and safe way to make the world a better place. A drop of blood can become the key to a new beginning for someone else and save the lives of our defenders!

Various Lectures with Experts

Our lecturers and guests of the University conduct lectures and workshops specifically so that students can learn interesting information on a wide range of topics. For example, Ivan Patrylyak held an open lecture on the topic: Situational Unity and National Unity or What Do Ukrainians Lack to Achieve Strategic Victories? Together with expert Jade McGlinn, they discussed the topic: Memory Politics: History as the Main Tool of Russian Propaganda.

Master Class on Making Trench Candles

Students and employers of KNU give warmth and light to our military. Trench candles have become an absolute necessity for those who defend our country. With the help of trench candles, one can light up a dugout, dry clothes, or heat food. They are simple to make and use, but on the front lines, they are indispensable.
