On May 14, 2025, the Main (Red) Building of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv traditionally hosted the charity event #ДеньдонораВЧервоному, organized by the Center for Social Development in cooperation with the Kyiv City Blood Center.
Students, faculty and staff of the university joined the blood drive. Thanks to their responsiveness, responsibility and willingness to help, 36 units of blood for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were collected. This means that the University community gave more than 100 opportunities to save lives, as one donation can help three people.
More than 50 people signed up to take part in the initiative in total.
In times of the full-scale war, such events are of particular importance. They demonstrate the unity, readiness to help, and strength of our community. Donating blood is not only an expression of human solidarity, but also a practical action that saves lives.
