Today, the main building has become a place where lives are saved. Within the framework of the charity event “Your Blood Can Fight. Become a Donor”, dozens of students and staff of the university contributed to the common effort by becoming blood donors.
Donating blood is not just a helpful deed, it is an opportunity to save the lives of injured soldiers, civilians and those who need it most. Every drop of blood is another chance for those who are fighting for our freedom and future.
An important step towards the development of blood donation
It is symbolic that today Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Kyiv City Blood Center. On behalf of the Center, the document was signed by its director Vitalii Demskyi, and on behalf of the University, by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work (Humanitarian Affairs) Taras Kompanets. This memorandum is to expand the possibilities of the blood donors movement among the university community and create new initiatives to support Ukrainians.
