Meeting with Ryu Euigyu

In terms of the partnership with the Republic of Korea and the aim at fostering cross-cultural communication, an event dedicated to international dialogue and the exchange of experiences in post-war reconstruction was held.

The first part of the event featured a performance by the band “RIDNI,” a vibrant representative of Ukrainian culture known for its participation in forums across Asia and tours around Ukraine and Europe. The band’s musical projects actively promote Ukrainian art on the international stage, enhancing cultural exchange and understanding.

The second part of the event took the form of a lecture for KNU students at the Main Building, where Ryu Euigyu, the rector of the Eastern European Branch of the International Institute for Development of Intelligence, an international education expert, public figure, president of MMO Global Youth Community, and a journalist for the Korean youth magazine “Tomorrow” spoke. In his speech, he highlighted recent trends in education, the development of critical thinking, and innovative approaches to learning.

His accounts of South Korea’s post-war reconstruction processes and the positive impact of international support and knowledge exchange on the country’s recovery sparked particular interest. This experience is highly relevant for Ukraine, which is currently undergoing reconstruction and seeking effective paths for economic, social and infrastructural development. Ryu Euigyu emphasised the importance of partnerships between countries, mutual support for youth and intercultural dialogue, which, in his view, can promote sustainable development and integration into global society.
