The First Lesson of the Short Course on Sign Language!

The first day of the short sign language course began with an introduction to the basics. Our coach Mariia spoke about the importance of sign language for communicating with people with hearing impairments.

We have learned the dactyl alphabet, basic phrases such as “hello,” “thank you,”  “you’re welcome,” as well as a few hand signs.

Special attention was paid to the correct hand shapes and facial expressions, which are an important part of conveying information.

The day ended with practice in pairs. The participants had to repeat and reproduce the learned signs to master them.We are looking forward to seeing you next Saturday!
